Forgotten Masters

Enduring Images

Dominic Fine Art’s first exhibition: dealing with the nature of artistic reputation, the reasons that some painters rise, whilst others fall.

Including a selection of rediscovered works, as well as original research into the contributions of forgotten artists.

Each work will demonstrate how reputation can decline, sometimes accidently, often unfairly. All of this is part of a wider ambition to set out an order in Art History, as well as an attempt to come to terms with the larger fact that in a diminishing market, there is a need for all dealers to “promote from within.”
